Recently we celebrated the Hindu festival of Dussehra, one of the largest festivals celebrated in India. Eternal Creation tailors, who work at our Visible Tailoring Centre, located in the foothills of the Himalayas, celebrated this festival to mark the triumph of good over evil.

Dussehra honours Lord Rama`s defeat of the demon-king Ravana as told in the Ramayana. As part of the celebration, towering effigies of the ten-headed Lord Ravana, along with his sidekicks Kumbhakarna and Meghnad, are burnt one by one and set alight by a flaming arrow shot by a person dressed as God Ram.

The inside of the effigies are loaded with firecrackers; the noise is deafening as they ignite and are consumed by the fire to the cheers of the crowds.

These festive Dussehra photographs were taken in Gamru, Dharamsala, where many of our tailors and staff live.
